The Gordon Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom open to three-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs (2,414 metres) at Goodwood Racecourse, and it takes place annually during the Glorious Goodwood meeting in late July or early August.
It was first run in 1902 and is named after the title of Duke of Gordon, one of the dukedoms held by the Duke of Richmond, owner of Goodwood Racecourse. It is a principal trial for the St. Leger Stakes, and nine horses have won both races. The first was Prince Palatine in 1911, followed by Firdaussi (1932), Athens Wood (1971) and Commanche Run (1984). In the period covered below this has continued with Minster Son, Nedawi, Millenary, Sixties Icon and Conduit.
