John Barbour (born 24 April 1933[1] in Toronto, Canada) is an actor and television host, known as one of the hosts of the reality television series Real People. He won an award in 1992 for his documentary on the assassination of John F. Kennedy.[2][3]
Career
Barbour portrayed a game show host named Harry Monte in a 1975 episode of Sanford and Son.[4][5]
He also directed and wrote the 1991 documentary The JFK Assassination: The Jim Garrison Tapes.[6] This film covers the investigation of District Attorney Jim Garrison, who, after the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy, decided to further investigate the official report given by the Warren Commission. In it, connections between the assassination and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Mafia, the Cuban missile crisis, the Vietnam war, and other organizations as well as foreign affairs are hypothesized.[7][8][9]
