Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts 

Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (Serbian: Црногорска академија наука и умјетности, Crnogorska Akademija Nauka i Umjetnosti, CANU) is the most important scientific institution of Montenegro. It was founded in 1973 as Crnogorsko Društvo za Nauku i Umjetnost (Montenegrin Society for Science and Arts) and was renamed in 1976. It currently has 42 members (academicians), divided in 3 branches: natural sciencies, humanities and arts.
