Silvia Saint (also spelled Sylvia Saint, born Sylvie Tomčalová[4] on February 12, 1976)[5][1] is a Czech pornographic actress. In 1996, she was Penthouse Pet of the Year in the Czech edition of the magazine[6], and between 1997 and 2001, she appeared in over 200 pornographic movies.
Biography
Tomčalová studied management for two years in Brno, and worked as a manager of a large hotel in the Czech city of Zlín, and in other companies as an accountant and marketing coordinator. She found that work financially unsatisfactory, so moved on to modeling, first lingerie, then nude in magazines, then pornographic films.[5] She was Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1996 (Czech edition). After her introduction to the American porn industry, she won the award in 1997 and 1998 (U.S. edition).[1]
Saint's early films were shot in Europe, many for Private Media Group. Later, she moved across the Atlantic where she spent over three years in the United States.
Saint, along with Monica Sweetheart, Lea De Mae and Daniella Rush appeared in director Frank Thring's The Academy (2000). The foursome came to be known in the adult industry as the Czech Dream Team.citation needed
On March 19, 2001, Saint announced that she was leaving the porn industry.citation needed She moved to Prague, Czech Republic and continued to perform in many girl-girl scenes after 2001.[7]
Saint was awarded a lifetime achievement award at Torino Sex 2005, Turin's second annual Delta of Venus Fair.[8]
In 2006, Saint won the rights to the Internet domain name sylviasaint.com from a cybersquatter in a lawsuit.[9]
